To say Quinn wasn't amused by the fact he would have to work with a new partner today would have been an understatement. But hey orders were orders, he just didn't need to be friendly. So he stood, and waited for this Detective K. Donahue. He was figuring it was some guy named Keven or something, nothing would prepare him for who came up to him at his desk as he waited.

Karen really didn't care who she was working with as long as they were competent. She showed up for work and set everything down at her new desk like she'd been there the whole time. "So what'd I miss?" she asked, assuming he knew who she was.

"Um, no. Detective Karen Donahue. Were you expecting someone else?" she said, amused now. She was ready to go, in a blouse that was just low-cut enough that he could get a peek, jeans and with her gun and badge clipped to her hip. "I'm filling in for a few days. What are we working on?"

"Thanks for the compliment, Quinn." Karen gave him a mirthful smile, reading the file over for a few moments. As a former Homicide detective she didn't need him to explain too much to her. Closing it she glanced over at him. "I'd like to see the crime scene myself. Would you mind driving over there?" As it was his neighborhood and he seemed like one of those cops that liked to drive.
